If you are worried about your child’s education, you are not alone. Tackle Advocacy is here to help you advocate for your child so you get the best resources available and best outcomes for your child.

Lack of academic progress during the last school year and changes to the educational landscape can affect the goals, modifications and accommodations your child needs to be successful for the next school year and in any learning environment –  virtual, in-person or both. Your child’s learning strategy should reflect this, and with over 25 years of experience working with children with special needs, Annie B. works with you to make that happen.

Who Qualifies for an IEP?

A child with one or more of the 14 disabilities listed in IDEA including learning differences, ADHD, autism, and others. The disability must affect the child’s ability to learn and access the general curriculum in the classroom.

A child with a disability who doesn’t qualify for an IEP might still be able to get a 504 plan.

Who Qualifies for a 504?

To be eligible for a Section 504 Plan, a child must have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.

This can include diagnosed chronic illnesses such as ADHD, asthma, diabetes, Crohn’s disease and more.
